So there's this Frank Miller movie coming out this year called "The Spirit" that looks very much like the "Sin City" movie. But most people don't know who the Spirit is because he began as a comic strip hero in the newspapers back in the 1940s. I can happily say that the original adventures of the Spirit will be posted here on a weekly basis. Let's start off with the first 7 page story of the Spirit originally printed in newspapers back on June 2nd, 1940. It's titled "The Origin of the Spirit." DC Comics has recently revived the character in a comic book series, but let's see how it all began with the master Will Eisner in control. Enjoy!The Spirit #1 (1940)
